Privacy Policy for AI SLOP Detector

Last updated: 6 September 2026

AI SLOP Detector collects nothing. It sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server behind it.

Scope of this policy

This policy covers the AI SLOP Detector browser extension only. It does not describe how the rest of this website works. PakLingo, based in Lahore, Pakistan, publishes and maintains the extension.

What the extension does

When you open a video on youtube.com, the extension reads the page to check whether YouTube has applied its own “Made with AI” disclosure to that video. If the disclosure is present, the extension pauses playback and shows a panel asking whether you want to watch or skip. That check happens entirely inside your browser.

What it stores

If you choose “Watch”, the extension records that video's ID in your browser's sessionStorage so it does not ask you about the same video twice. This stays on your own device and your browser discards it when you close the tab. Nothing else is written to disk.

What it does not do

The extension makes no network requests of any kind. It does not read or transmit your browsing history, watch history, search queries, cookies, account details, IP address, or any other personal information. No data is collected, sold, transferred, or shared with any third party, and nothing is used for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.

Permissions

The extension requests no browser permissions. It runs a single script on youtube.com pages, which is the minimum required to see YouTube's disclosure label. It runs nowhere else on the web.

Children

Because the extension collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes

If a future version ever changes what data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is published, and the date above will change.
